Thomas Smith, known professionally as Jemini the Gifted One, was an American
rapper from Brooklyn, New York. His early work included the 1995 promo EP Scars
and Pain and the single "Funk Soul Sensation", which peaked at number 36 on
Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. In 2002 he released Take Care of Business with
Danger Mouse, followed by the critically acclaimed 2003 collaboration Ghetto Pop
Life, which earned placement on The Guardian’s list of The 40 Best Bands in the
US. Jemini the Gifted One passed away on March 27, 2025 due to complications
from diabetes.
