Jaromír Nohavica
Jaromír Nohavica, born on June 7, 1953, in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia, is a singer
and songwriter known for his contributions to folk music. He began playing
guitar at 13 and initially studied at the Technical University of Ostrava before
pursuing freelance lyricist work. Nohavica's breakthrough came with his first
song "Lásko, voníš deštěm" (You Smell of Rain, My Love), a cover version of
Black Sabbath’s "She's Gone", which he wrote for Marie Rottrová. Nohavica
