Musician and singer Jane Fostin was born in basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, on December
27, 1973. Born to a musician father, she was immersed in zouk and reggae. Her
voice was an asset that enabled her to join the group Les Aiglons in 1986. Two
years later, she replaced Joëlle Ursull in the group Zouk Machine, and rocketed
to the top of the charts in 1989 with the hit Maldòn (La Musique Dans La Peau),
