Jamie O'Neal is a female country singer who was born in Sydney, Australia in
1966. She is the daughter of country singers Jimmy and Julie Murphy and she sang
in The Murphy Family group until her parents divorced in the 1970s.
During the early stages of her professional career O'Neal was a backing singer
for Australian superstar Kylie Minogue and featured on two of Minogue's tours
until landing a solo recording contract with Mercury Nashville in 2000. Her
