(Jam Hsiao)
Mandopop mainstay and Taiwanese singer and actor Jam Hsiao has been known to
infuse his tender balladry with a heady dose of rock 'n' roll energy. Born Hsiao
Ching-teng in Hualien City on 30 March 1987, he gained prominence in the
mid-'00s after appearing on the first season of China Television (CTV)'s talent
show One Million Star, which led to a contract with Warner Music Taiwan the
following year. His debut album, Jam Hsiao, also arrived in 2008 and went to
number one in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, also landing him a Best New
Singer nomination at Taiwan's 20th Golden Mu...
