Jadea Kelly, born in 1986 in Whitby, Ontario, is a Canadian singer, songwriter,
and guitarist. She played various instruments as a child but focused on the
guitar. During her high school years, Kelly moved to Toronto and built
connections within the local music scene. Before releasing her own EP Down Wave
(2006), she contributed vocals to other artists, notably the progressive metal
band Protest the Hero, appearing on their albums Kezia (2005), Scurrilous
(2011), and Volition (2013). Her debut album Second Spring (2008) won Best
