IZA is the stage name of Brazilian R&B singer Isabela Cristina Correia de Lima
Lima, born in Rio de Janeiro on September 3, 1990. The daughter of a music
teacher and a navy officer, she grew up in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, where she
began performing at her local church. Upon her return to Rio de Janeiro at the
age of 18, she studied advertising at the city's Pontifical Catholic University
and rose to online fame in 2015 by posting covers of Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Sam
