ISSUGI
ISSUGI is a rapper, beatmaker, and producer from Nerima Ward, Tokyo. He began
listening to hip-hop while in middle school after getting into skateboarding,
and started writing lyrics and producing music around the age of 15 or 16. In
the mid-2000s, he formed MONJU with Senninshō and Mr.PUG, and as a member of
DOWN NORTH CAMP, he gained attention in Tokyo’s underground hip-hop scene. In
2009, he released his first solo album, “Thursday” (2009), followed by numerous
