Ismael Silva
Ismael Silva, born Mílton de Oliveira Ismael Silva on September 14, 1905, in Rio
de Janeiro, Brazil, was a pioneering samba composer and a central figure in the
development of samba in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1920s and 1930s. He helped
found the influential group Deixa Falar in 1928, which played a key role in
shaping modern samba rhythm. Among his most notable compositions are "Se Você
