Isaura Garcia, known as “Personalíssima”, was a Brazilian singer born on
February 26, 1923, in São Paulo. She began her career as a teenager, winning
first prize on the radio program Qua-qua-qua-quarenta in 1938 with the song
“Camisa listrada”. Recognized as one of the most significant interpreters of
Brazilian Popular Music, her five-decade career encompassed samba, jazz, and
bossa nova. Garcia recorded over three hundred songs, including her signature
