McClain was destined to become a pastor when an OutKast album, ATLiens, lent to
him by his half-brother, diverted him from his vocation to devote himself to
music. He then spent his time recording demos, which he passed on to
acquaintances, earning him a place on the Smoker's Club Tour in summer 2012,
alongside Juicy J and Joey Bada$$. A year after much negotiation, he signs with
