Ingeborg Sergeant, born October 15, 1966, in Menin, Belgium, is a Dutch-speaking
pop singer and television presenter who began her career in the late 1980s.
After training in vocal performance, she entered Eurosong, the Belgian national
selection for the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest. Sergeant won the selection with
the song “Door de wind” (1989) and represented Belgium at the contest in
Lausanne, finishing nineteenth out of 22 participating countries. She succeeded
Reynaert as the Belgian representative and was succeeded in 1990 by Philippe
Lafontaine.
