Ideal is an American R&B quartet from Houston, Texas. The group consisted of
brothers Maverick "Mav" and Cedrick "Swab" Cotton, their cousin Wayne "PZ"
Perry, and high school friend Jay "J-Dante" Green. Ideal debuted in 1999 with
the release of their first single "Get Gone". Their eponymous debut album was
released by Virgin Records in August 1999, featuring notable tracks such as
"Creep Inn", and "Whatever". The album sold 615,000 units in the U.S. and was
certified Gold by the RIAA. It peaked at number 83 on the Billboard 200 and
