Iain Burnside
Iain Burnside, born in 1957 in Glasgow, Scotland, is a Scottish classical
pianist, and accompanist. He studied at Merton College, Oxford, the Royal
Academy of Music, and the Chopin Academy in Warsaw. He pursued a freelance
career, specializing in song repertoire and collaborating with singers such as
Susan Chilcott, Dame Margaret Price, Rosa Feola, and Roderick Williams. He
served as presenter of BBC Radio 3’s Voices, earning a Sony Radio Award. He
wrote the musical A Soldier and a Maker, which premiered in 2012. Burnside
