Hyde, born Takarai Hideto on January 29, 1969, is a prominent Japanese musician
known for his role as the vocalist of L'Arc〜en〜Ciel, VAMPS, and THE LAST
ROCKSTARS. Initially a guitarist, Hyde's music career took off in earnest with
the formation of L'Arc〜en〜Ciel in 1991. He has been pivotal in composing many
hits for the band, including "HONEY" (1998) and "HEAVEN'S DRIVE" (1999).
