Huáscar Barradas (born June 12, 1964) is a Venezuelan jazz, world, and folk
flutist, composer, producer, and professor from Maracaibo. He studied at the
José Luis Paz Conservatory and was a founding member of the first Children's
National Orchestra within the “El Sistema” program. Barradas studied in the
United States at San Jacinto College, Brooklyn College, and Juilliard, mentored
by Bernard Goldberg and Ron Carter. Barradas served as principal flutist for the
