Hilary James
Hilary James is a British singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who
began her professional career in 1976. She reached wider visibility for her work
as a vocalist and for performing on instruments including guitar, double bass,
and mandobass. James has collaborated extensively with her partner, musician
Simon Mayor. They originally performed as the duo Spredthick and later
established the ensemble Mandolinquents. Her recording career included the debut
solo studio recording Burning Sun (1993) followed by the studio recordings Love,
Lust and Loss (1996) and Bluesy (1999). ...
