Meg Duffy, born in Amsterdam, New York, is an American musician and guitarist
who started playing drums at age 5 and guitar at 17. After graduating from
Schenectady County Community College for guitar performance, Duffy began her
music career as a session musician, contributing to albums by The War on Drugs,
Weyes Blood, Perfume Genius, and others. In 2012, they released the split record
Small Shifts under the moniker Hand Habits. As Hand Habits, Duffy released
several EPs and full-length albums including Wildly Idle (Humble Before the
