After forming the band The Recoys with Peter Matthew Bauer in 1996 and being the lead singer and guitarist of The Walkmen between 2000 and 2014, songwriter Hamilton Leithauser has embarked on a solo career. Born in Washington D.C. on April 15, 1978, he embarked on a tour and released his first personal album Black Hours (2014), in which he surrounded himself with musicians from the bands Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors, Fleet Foxes and The Shins.
