Greg Street
An influential figure on the hip-hop scene, Greg Street is an American DJ, radio
host and producer. Born Gregory Polk in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he has become
one of the most iconic voices of Southern rap and a central figure in the spread
of hip-hop culture on the radio since the 1990s. He began his on-air career in
the late 1980s, working first at local stations in Mississippi, then in Dallas
(K104), before joining V-103 (WVEE-FM) in Atlanta, one of the country's leading
urban music stations. Since moving to Georgia, he has become famous for his 6
