Gordon Bok is an American singer-songwriter and folklorist born on October 31,
1939, in Pennsylvania. He was raised in Camden, Maine, and his musical style
draws on the working boat culture of the Gulf of Maine. Bok’s recording career
began with the debut eponymous studio recording Gordon Bok (1965) followed by
the studio recording A Tune for November (1970). He reached professional
recognition for work performed as a member of a trio with musicians Ed Trickett
