Golec uOrkiestra, a Polish folk-rock group founded in 1998 by twin brothers Paweł Golec and Łukasz Golec in the village of Milówka near Żywiec, began as an eight-member ensemble that expanded to ten musicians in 1999 before recording its debut studio album in Bielsko-Biała that year. The band quickly gained national recognition, releasing Golec uOrkiestra in 1999 and Golec uOrkiestra 2 in 2000, the latter selling over 400,000 copies and earning four-times Platinum certification; subsequent releases included Golec uOrkiestra 3 (2002) and Golec uOrkiestra 4 (2004).
