Gingger Shankar, born Niranjani Subramaniam in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer and composer. Raised in both Los Angeles and India, she began her musical journey at a young age, learning to sing, dance, and play the violin and piano. She attended the Kalakshetra creative arts school in Chennai and later studied opera vocals with Tantoo Cardinal.
