Gingger Shankar, born Niranjani Subramaniam in Los Angeles, California, is an
American singer and composer. Raised in both Los Angeles and India, she began
her musical journey at a young age, learning to sing, dance, and play the violin
and piano. She attended the Kalakshetra creative arts school in Chennai and
later studied opera vocals with Tantoo Cardinal. Shankar's professional career
