Gerard Van Maasakkers
Gerard van Maasakkers, born on March 26, 1949, in Nuenen, Netherlands, is a
Dutch folk singer. During his studies in horticulture and landscape
architecture, van Maasakkers was deeply involved in music, serving as a choir
leader and composing a rock musical titled Plint. His breakthrough came in 1978
with the release of his debut album Komt er mer in, which sold 15,000 copies.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, van Maasakkers released several albums,
including "Vur de wind" (1980) and "Onderwege" (1982). In 2008, he celebrated
