George "Wild Child" Butler

George "Wild Child" Butler, born George Butler on October 1, 1936, in Autaugaville, Alabama, was an American harmonica blues musician and singer. Nicknamed "Wild Child" from a young age, Butler began playing the harmonica with Big Mama Thornton, a family friend. He preferred a life in music over farm work and performed in Chicago, Detroit, Texas, and Louisiana with notable figures such as Big Walter Horton, Sonny Boy Williamson II, and Sunnyland Slim.
