George Greeley was an American pianist, conductor, and composer born as Giorgio
Guariglia on 23 July 1917 in Westerly, Rhode Island. He achieved professional
recognition as an arranger for big bands and joined the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra
(1940). During World War II, he conducted a U.S. Air Force band. Greeley
performed as a pianist and orchestrator on approximately 200 motion pictures for
Columbia Pictures, including the film The Eddy Duchin Story (1956).
