George Cole, an American guitarist born in San Francisco, began his musical
journey in the 1980s as a member of Beatnik Beatch. The band, which included
Chris Witt Ketner and Andy Sturmer, released their debut album At the Zula Pool
under Industrial Records in 1987. After signing with Atlantic Records in 1988,
they re-released the album with several track changes. During this period,
keyboardist Roger Manning joined the band. Beatnik Beatch disbanded early in
1989. In 2010, Cole released his solo album Riverside Drive.
