Gen Rosso is an international band of the Focolare movement formed in 1966 in
Loppiano, Italy. The group originated when the founder of the Focolare movement,
Chiara Lubich, gifted a red drum set to a group of young men, inspiring them to
form an ensemble named after the Italian word for red. Gen Rosso has released
over 50 albums, including the debut Flash sul Gen Rosso (1968). Their
discography includes the albums Venite alla festa (1973) and Senza frontiere
