Geisha was an Australian pop rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 as Geisha
Detail with Chris Doheny on lead vocals and guitar. They shortened their name to
Geisha and signed with EMI Records in 1984. Their debut single "Fool's Way" was
released in March 1985, followed by the self-titled album Geisha in August 1985.
The band achieved local success with singles like "Rainy Day" and "Kabuki". In
1986, Geisha released "Part Time Love Affair", their highest-charting single at
