Frank Owens
Frank Owens, born in 1933, was an American pianist and keyboardist whose career
spanned jazz and pop music, as well as theatre and television productions. He
first appeared in 1966 in New York with Clifford Jordan, marking his entry into
professional recording. Over the next decade, he contributed to sessions with
Harvey Brooks, Ernie Wilkins, Louis Armstrong, and Bobbi Humphrey, and played
piano for singers such as Astrud Gilberto, Lena Horne, and Bob Dylan on Highway
