Frank Lopardo, born 23 December 1957 in Brentwood, New York, is an American operatic tenor who studied at Queens College, CUNY, and the Juilliard School. Lopardo debuted in North America as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with the Opera Theater of St. Louis and entered the Metropolitan Opera in 1989 as Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia. Over the next decades, he performed more than 180 Met appearances, including roles in La bohème, La traviata, and Rigoletto, while recording with major labels such as Deutsche Gramophone and Decca.
