Folkabbestia, a folk rock band from Italy, was formed in 1996 in Bari. The band
emerged from Folkways, founded in 1994 by Lorenzo Mannarini, Francesco Fiore,
and Osvaldo Laviosa. Their debut release was a self-produced demo cassette
titled Folkabbestia (1996). In 1998, they released their first album, Breve
saggio filosofico sul senso della vita, which received critical acclaim. Over
the years, Folkabbestia underwent several lineup changes and released notable
