Yannick Fabian Steffen, known as Fayan, is a German rapper and songwriter. He
was born in Oberkirch in Baden-Württemberg in 1991. He grew up in a small town
on the edge of the Black Forest. He developed an interest in music and hip-hop
at an early age, inspired by the Wu-Tang Clan album The W at the age of nine.
His first steps in the youth center included rap, breakdancing and graffiti. His
stage name Fayan is a combination of his first names Yannick and Fabian. He
