Fawzy Al-Aiedy
Fawzy Al-Aiedy, born in Basrah, Iraq in 1950, is a singer-songwriter and oud
player. He moved to France on September 6, 1971, choosing this date as his
birthday because his exact birth date was unknown. He studied at the Institute
of Music in Baghdad, studying traditional oriental music and western classical
music. His recording career began with the release of the album Silence (1976).
In 1981, his album Amina won the Prix Loisir Jeune. Al-Aiedy's other recordings
