Eskimo Joe, an Australian alternative rock band, was formed in 1997 in East
Fremantle, Western Australia. The group consists of Stuart MacLeod on lead
guitar, Joel Quartermain on drums and guitar, and Kavyen Temperley on bass
guitar and vocals. Initially a side project called Freud's Pillow, Eskimo Joe
gained traction after winning the national final of the National Campus Band
Competition in 1997, which led to their first gigs and studio recording
