Jesús Emmanuel Arturo Acha Martinez, better known by his stage name Emmanuel, is
a Mexican singer and songwriter. With over 35 million albums sold, he is one of
the most successful Latin American pop stars of all time. He was born in Mexico
City on April 16, 1955. His mother was famous Spanish singer Conchita Martinez
and his father was Argentinian celebrity bullfighter Raúl ‘Rovira’ Acha.
