Emma Salokoski is a Finnish-Swedish singer, composer, and songwriter. She took
violin lessons at age eleven, later switching to viola and focusing on singing
during her studies. She studied musical theatre at Kulturama (graduating in
1998), worked in stage productions such as Rent and Les Misérables, and later
studied at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory and Sibelius Academy before
leaving both to focus on her own projects. In 2001, she formed the Emma
