Emi Meyer
Emily Morioka Meyer is a Japanese-born American jazz pianist and
singer-songwriter born in 1987 in Kyoto. She began studying classical piano at
age six and later expanded into jazz while attending Pomona College in Los
Angeles County. In 2007, she won the Seattle-Kobe Jazz Vocalist Competition and
released her debut studio album, Curious Creature. The record reached Number 1
on the iTunes Japan jazz chart and featured the single “Room Blue”. Meyer’s
