Jesús Alfredo Rodríguez Hernández, known as El Compa Chuy, is a corrido singer
from Culiacán, Sinaloa, who began performing in his local music scene as a
teenager, developing a storytelling style built around accordion, guitar, and
tuba. He launched his professional recording career in 2008 with the album
Alacrana Lavada, which included songs like the title track and “La Avioneta y el
Boludo.” He followed up in 2009 with Gente Peligrosa, which featured singles
