Efkan Şeşen, a Turkish composer and singer of Laz origin, was born in Istanbul
in 1963. He discovered his passion for music during his imprisonment following
the 1980 coup d'état while engaging in protest movements. In 1987, Şeşen joined
Grup Yorum, a band sharing his political views. Notable releases include Merhaba
(1997), Gözleri Hala Çocuk (1999), Pekte Tanınmayan Karadeniz (2004), and
Gölgeler Şehri (2006). Şeşen is known for his unique interpretations, including
