East Forest, born Trevor Oswalt in Portland, Oregon, United States, is a pianist and electronic music artist. He derived his stage name from the German translation of his last name, Ostwald. East Forest released his debut album The Education of the Individual Soul in February 3, 2009. His breakthrough came with the release of Orbits on November 11, 2014, which was well-received for its sonic journey through natural landscapes.
