Discovered by Tyler, the Creator in 2009, American rapper Earl Sweatshirt (born
Thebe Neruda Kgositsile in Chicago on February 24, 1994) joined the OFWGKTA
collective (aka Odd Future) the following year. His first mixtape, Earl,
released the same year, attracted public attention, but his behavioral problems
led his mother to have him committed to a specialized center in the Samoan
Islands. When he regained his freedom and returned to the U.S. in 2012, buoyed
by his growing reputation, he recorded the album Doris (#5 in 2013), which
became one of the major rap releases of the year...
