DJ Spoony
DJ Spoony is an English disc jockey and radio presenter born as Johnathan St
John Joseph on June 25, 1970, in Hackney, London. He began his professional
career in the mid-1990s on the pirate radio station London Underground. Joseph
reached wider visibility as a member of the UK garage ensemble Dreem Teem
alongside Mikee B and Timmi Magic. The group performed on the radio station Kiss
100 before joining BBC Radio 1 in 2000, where they received a Sony Award. Joseph
