Disfear, a Swedish d-beat/crust punk band from Nyköping, was formed in 1989
under the name Anti-Bofors by guitarist Björn Pettersson and bassist Henke
Frykman. The band initially released an EP before changing their name to Disfear
with the addition of vocalist Jeppe Lerjerud. In 1992, they recorded their first
self-titled single at Sunlight Studios with producer Tomas Skogsberg. Their
debut EP, A Brutal Sight of War, followed in 1993 before the band briefly
