Deleatrice "Dee" Alexander is an American jazz singer. She received early
training in piano and vocal studies under Shedelle Farriar, Phil Cohran, and at
the AACM School of Music. In 2004, she released the self-produced live album
Live at the Hothouse (2004), featuring jazz standards. Her studio albums include
Wild is the Wind (2008) and Songs My Mother Loves (2014). She has collaborated
with notable musicians including Hamid Drake and George Lewis, and performed at
major festivals such as Umbria Jazz and the Frankfurt Jazz Festival.
