Dawn Sears was an American country music singer born Dawn Marie Skari on
December 7, 1961, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Raised in Minnesota, she began
her professional career in 1990 and signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1991.
Her debut studio album, What a Woman Wants to Hear, was released that year and
featured the single “Good Goodbye”, which reached number 77 on the Canadian
country charts. Sears later joined Vince Gill's road band as a harmony vocalist
and performed on his 1992 album I Still Believe in You. In 1994, she signed with
