Davy Knowles, born April 30, 1987, in Port St. Mary, Isle of Man, is a blues
guitarist and singer who started playing guitar at age 11 after hearing "Sultans
of Swing" by Dire Straits. He formed the blues-rock band Back Door Slam with
schoolmates in 2003/2004. The band released their debut album Roll Away in 2007,
which peaked at number 7 on the Blues Billboard Chart. After touring extensively
and gaining exposure at festivals like South by Southwest and Lollapalooza, Back
