David Simon Berwick Broza, also known as David Broza, was born September 4,
1955, in Haifa, Israel, and is an Israeli singer, musician, and composer. Raised
in England and Spain, he initially pursued graphic art but began playing guitar
during his service in the Israel Defense Forces. His breakthrough came with
"Yihye Tov" in 1977. Notable albums include Isla Mujeres (2000), Spanish Heart
(2001), and Night Dawn: The Unpublished Poetry of Townes Van Zandt (2010). He
