Dave Carpenter
Dave Carpenter, born November 4, 1959, was an American bass player who began his
career after studying music at Ohio State University and moving to New York
City, where he first toured and recorded with Buddy Rich, Woody Herman and
Maynard Ferguson. He later joined the Allan Holdsworth Group in the late 1990s
and became a prolific studio musician in Los Angeles, contributing to over two
hundred recordings, television and film soundtracks. Carpenter’s solo
