Daniel Leo Sultan, born in December 1983 in Melbourne, Victoria, is an
Australian singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and multi‑instrumentalist. He
began playing guitar at four and wrote his first song at ten, later performing
in local pubs while living in Fitzroy. Dan Sultan’s breakthrough came with his
debut solo album Homemade Biscuits (2006), followed by Get Out While You Can
(2009), which won the ARIA Awards for Best Male Artist and Best Blues & Roots
